Like many people, I was not overweight when I began to diet in the spring of 2007. Over the winter I accumulated some twenty pounds of weight my little sister had reported “heaviness” on my body. I wanted to feel better and improve my health so I decided to lose weight. The first week on my diet I lost four pounds; that was the second week I lost seven and the last week I lost one pound. I was having a great “weight loss” period.
As the weeks went by, I noticed something was happening. There were some days I would feel a little bit worse about my weight, and there were some days that I had the desire to eat something that I wanted. This never happened before I went on my diet, but it seemed to be happening more often than usual. It didn’t seem to me that it was a big deal. I continued doing what I was doing with my diet and I was seeing very good results.
After I noticed that I was having these days, I began thinking about how I could lose a little weight to make it easier for me to get back on track with my dieting and exercising. I got down to my ideal weight of 175 pounds, a strong, healthy body weight. It also seemed like I would be at a much lower % body fat than I was before. So I restricted my calories for a few weeks (due to health reasons) and then decided to move into a long-term maintenance phase.
That was twenty five days ago, and I’ve Factor reduced my calories to about one hundred and sixty – and it’s still working. I made some minor changes to my diet and added a few things as well: I cook a majority of my food fresh. This allows me more control of what to eat, and less bags and bags of chips and other junk is a better choice than eating out. I also start Almost Inc accurately at least half of my food at home. In addition, I eat a tangerine once or twice a week, which has made me feel a lot better and keeps me from feeling the temptation to eat high-sugar treats. I’m almost at my target body fat. I’ll need to get used to smaller portions of food if I continue to eat at work.
I know there are people out there who diet and don’t worry about their weight. I just don’t want to be one of them. I’m trying to live a healthy lifestyle, and if I continue down the “In Shape”iance Band road, I’ll get there. I’m not going to be healthy till I’m in my ” reversing nicely” phase.
I don’t know why people are afraid of being unhealthy any more. The “In Shape” advocacy group features thousands of healthy and physically fit people living all across the country. They have a low percentage of fat people and an over percentage of healthy people, and a high percentage of rich people as well. Would you say there’s a connection? It’s no secret that people who are healthier generally tend to be richer.
High blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke are a few health concerns, not to mention the side effects such as joint pain, fatigue, irritability, and more…
Did you know that somewhere over 1/3rd of the U.S population is overweight. That should tell you why it’s important to get there. Being overweight is not good for your health, and over indulging in it is even more reason. The more poor choices you make about your nutritional choices, the greater the likelihood you have of getting more health problems. When looking to lose fat be sure to get healthy and fit first. It may be difficult, but it will be your best and only shot at long-term health.
